PINTY

Pinty rose to prominence as part of the same crew as King Krule, Jadasea and Jamie Isaac. His skippy verses and inventive wordplay place Pinty among the most exciting voices in alternative UK music. Hailing from South London, Pinty draws inspiration from people and places around him. Adept at rapping intricately over house, hip-hop beats and more, he is influenced by MCs like Skibadee, and story-tellers like Willie Nelson and Jay-Z. Pinty released his first EP, City Limits, through Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section imprint. He followed up with two further EPs via his label Winged Feet - Midnight Moods and Tomorrow’s Where I’m At, the latter featuring a collaboration with jazz musician Emma-Jean Thackray. Shortly after Tomorrow’s Where I’m At, Pinty released ‘Half an inch’ with Metronomy, as part of their ‘Posse’ EP.

His recent mixtape ‘Pinty’s House’ featured collaborations with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, George Fitzgerald, Catching Cairo and even TikTok legend Francis Bourgeois. The tape sounds like a house party in Pinty’s head, where each room has something different playing. With guest vocalists and a different producer on each track, it is a mixtape in its truest sense, a pick & mix of sounds and styles.

Pinty’s music has received praise at press and radio, including Pitchfork, NME, The Guardian and Crack magazine. His single Comfort Me was chosen by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac as her Tune of the Week.
His single ‘Stuck Like Glue’ feat. Catching Cairo was on the BBC Radio 1 playlist as the BBC Introducing track of the week.
